Smoked Trout and Wasabi Pastries
- 1 sheet puff pastry
- 1 teaspoon chilli oil
- 1 medium whole smoked trout, skin and flesh removed or (180g smoked trout fillets)
- 2 tablespoons finely sliced Vietnamese mint leaves or coriander
- Wasabi Cream
- 250g block PHILADELPHIA Cream Cheese, softened
- rind and juice of 1 lime
- 1 1/2 teaspoons prepared wasabi paste
- salt and pepper, to taste
- Brush the pastry evenly with chilli oil until coated.
- Prick the pastry all over with a fork.
- Cut into 24 squares.
- Bake at 180C for 15 minutes or until golden.
- Spread the cooked pastry with wasabi cream.
- Top with pieces of trout and garnish with mint.
- Wasabi cream: Combine all ingredients until smooth.
