Grandmother's Chocolate Cream Pie Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. sugar
- 1/2 c. flour
- 4 tbsp. cocoa
- 1/4 teaspoon salt
- 2 c. lowfat milk
- 1/2 stick butter
- 4 egg yolks, beaten
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- Sift together first 4 ingredients.
- Gradually add in lowfat milk to keep smooth.
- Add in egg yolks and butter.
- Cook over low heat till thickened (in microwave 8 min on high or possibly till boils, stir every 4 min).
- Cold and add in vanilla.
- Pour into baked and cooled pie shell.
- Top with meringue.
