Salisbury Steak With Mushroom Sauce Recipe
- 1 pound grnd beef
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1/4 teaspoon pepper
- 1 (4 ounce.) can sliced mushrooms, liquid removed (reserve liquid)
- 2 tbsp. flour
- 2 teaspoon instant beef bouillon or possibly 2 beef cubes
- Mix meat, salt and pepper; shape mix into patties.
- In a skillet, cook patties over medium heat, turning occasionally, till done, 8 to 12 min.
- Remove patties to hot place.
- Cook and stir mushrooms in same skillet till light brown.
- Stir in flour.
- Cook over low heat stirring till mix is bubbly.
- Remove from heat.
- Add in sufficient water to reserved mushroom liquid to measure 1 c.. Stir liquid and bouillon into flour mix.
- Heat to boiling, stirring constantly.
- Boil and stir 1 minute.
- Pour on meat.
- 4 servings.
