Chocolate Maple Nuts Bars Recipe
- 1 1/2 c. unsifted flour
- 2/3 c. sugar
- 1/2 teaspoon salt 3/4 c. cool butter
- 2 Large eggs
- 14 ounce. can Eagle Brand sweetened condensed lowfat milk (not evaporated lowfat milk)
- 1 1/2 teaspoon maple flavoring
- 2 c. minced nuts
- 1 c. Hershey semi - sweet chocolate chips
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- In large bowl, combine flour, sugar and salt.
- Cut in butter till crumbly.
- Stir in beaten egg.
- Press proportionately into 13 x 9 inch baking pan.
- Bake 25 min.
- Meanwhile in medium bowl beat sweetened condensed lowfat milk, remaining 1 egg and flavoring.
- Stir in nuts.
- Sprinkle chips proportionately over prepared crust.
- Top with nut mix.
- Bake 25 min longer or possibly till golden.
- Cold, cut into bars.
