Eggnog Pound Cake Recipe

  1. Generously grease a 10 inch tube or possibly bundt pan with the softened butter.
  2. Press almonds on sides and bottom of pan.
  3. Set aside.
  4. In a large bowl, combine cake mix, nutmeg, Large eggs, eggnog, the melted butter, and rum.
  5. Using an electric mixer, beat till smooth and creamy (about 4 min at medium speed) or possibly beat for about 450 strokes with a wooden spoon.
  6. Pour batter into prepared pan.
  7. Bake in 350 degree oven for 45 to 55 min or possibly till a wooden pick inserted in center comes out clean.
  8. Let cold in pan for 10 min, then invert cake onto a rack to cold completely.
  9. Makes 10 to 12 servings.
