'Kuromame' Black Beans in a Rice Cooker
- 140 grams Kuromame
- 500 ml Water
- 100 grams Soft light brown sugar
- 2 tbsp Soy sauce
- 2 tbsp Sake
- 1 tsp Baking soda
- 1 few Rusty nails, if you have them
- Put the all the ingredients except for the kuro-mame beans into a pot and boil.
- Transfer to the rice cooker.
- Add the kuromame beans into the rice cooker and let sit overnight.
- The next morning, cook on "okayu" (rice porridge) mode twice, then let it sit.
- It will be ready to eat that night.
