Easy Meat Miso Soboro to Stock in your Freezer
- 350 grams Ground pork
- 2 tbsp Miso
- 3 tbsp Sake
- 3 tbsp Soy sauce
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- Mix the ingredients in a bowl.
- Heat a small amount of vegetable oil in a pan.
- Add the meat and saute thoroughly, breaking it up into small pieces as you cook.
- Add the mixed ingredients from step 1 to the pan.
- Fry over medium heat until the liquid is absorbed and evaporated.
- When the liquid is gone, transfer to the the right hand side of a large plate.
- Place a folded towel under the right side of the plate (the meat side).
- This will tilt the plate to allow the fat to drain.
- Wait a while until the excess fat drains down to the empty side of the plate.
- Wipe it off with paper towels and it's done.
- Divide the soboro into small portions and wrap in plastic wrap.
- Place the wrapped portions in a ziplock bag for storage.
- When you want to use the soboro, remove the desired portion from the ziplock and microwave to use.
