White Chocolate and Macadamia Nut Cookies
- 1/2 cup butter, softened
- 1/2 cup shortening
- 1 cup packed brown sugar
- 1/2 cup sugar
- 1/2 tsp. baking soda
- 1/2 tsp. salt
- 2 eggs
- 1 tsp. vanilla
- 2 3/4 cups flour
- 1 pkg. (12 oz.) white chocolate baking pieces or chips
- 2 cups chopped PLANTERS Macadamias
- Preheat oven to 375 degrees.
- In a large bowl beat butter and shortening with an electric mixer on medium to high speed for 30 seconds.
- Add brown sugar, granulated sugar, baking soda, and salt.
- Beat until combined, scraping side of bowl occasionally.
- Beat in eggs and vanilla until combined.
- Beat in as much of the flour as you can with the mixer.
- Stir in any remaining flour, the white chocolate pieces, and PLANTERS macadamias.
- Drop dough by rounded teaspoons 2 inches apart onto ungreased cookie sheets.
- Bake for 8 to 9 minutes or just until edges are light brown.
- Cool on cookies sheets for 2 minutes.
- Transfer to wire racks to cool.
