Cajun boiled peanuts
- 1/2 lb raw green peanuts, in shell
- 1 boiling water
- 1 tbsp salt
- 1 tbsp red pepper flakes
- 1/2 tsp ground black pepper
- 1/4 tsp ground cumin
- 1/2 tbsp celery salt
- 1/2 tbsp seasoned salt
- 2 tbsp diced jalapeno peppers
- 1 bay leaf
- Add all the ingredients.
- In a pot
- Bring to boil, turn down to simmer stirring occasionally.
- Simmer 4 hours at least.
- I boiled mine 9 hours.
- When you think they are done, taste test.
- It shouldn't be crunchy, nor be like mush.
- Serve hope you enjoy!
- You can make these in big batches and freeze to reheat, microwave or crockpot.
