Coffee & Kinako in Hot Milk Zenzai
- 200 ml Whole Milk
- 3 tbsp Sugar
- 2 tsp Kinako
- 1 tsp Instant coffee powder
- 1 tsp Grated ginger
- 1 pinch Salt
- 1 tbsp water and 2 teaspoons katakuriko Katakuriko slurry
- 1 if mochi: 2 to 3, if dango made from shiratama powder: 10 Mochi, shiratama dango, okara dango, etc.
- 2 to 4 Walnuts (optional)
- 1 Cinnamon (optional)
- Toast the mochi in a toaster oven, or prepare the dango and set aside.
- In a small pan, combine the ingredients and cook on a low or low-medium heat, continuously stirring while heating.
- Thicken with the dissolved katakuriko.
- Serve over mochi (or shiratama dango) and crushed walnuts.
- Top with cinnamon (optional) and it's ready.
