Bed Of Green Lentils Recipe

  1. Heat the oil in a large skillet over medium heat.
  2. Add in the onion and garlic, saute/fry till tender and translucent/soft.
  3. Add in the carrot and continue to cook, stirring frequently, till lightly carmelized.
  4. Add in the lentils, thyme, bay leaf, and cloves, and cover with 1" of water.
  5. Reduce the heat and simmer for 15-20 min, till tender.
  6. Add in more water as needed.
  7. Remove from heat.
  8. Season to taste and serve immediately
  9. fat.
