Chocolate Chewy Squares Recipe
- 1 (5 ounce.) can evaporated lowfat milk
- 1 pkg. German chocolate cake mix
- 2/3 c. butter
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. chocolate chips
- 1 ready to spread coconut pecan frosting
- Mix dry cake mix, butter, and lowfat milk together.
- Spread half of the dough in ungreased rectangular pan, 13 x 9 x 2 inch.
- Bake 6 min.
- Remove from oven.
- Sprinkle with the chocolate chips.
- Microwave the frosting for 3 min.
- Stir after 1 1/2 min.
- Spread over the chocolate chips.
- Drop remaining dough by teaspoonfuls onto the frosting, spreading proportionately.
- Bake till cake portion is slightly dry to touch, 15 to 20 min longer.
- Cold completely.
- Chill till hard.
- Cut into 2 1/4 x 1 inch bars.
- Makes 48 bars.
