Cherry Rhubarb Crunch Recipe

  1. Mix together crust ingredients.
  2. Pat half into 9x13 pan.
  3. Reserve other half for topping.
  4. Put rhubarb on crust, spread proportionately.
  5. In a saucepan, mix cornstarch, sugar and water; cook, stirring well, till thickened.
  6. Remove from heat and stir in red food coloring and almond extract.
  7. Stir in cherry pie filling and nuts; pour over the rhubarb.
  8. Sprinkle rest of crust mix proportionately over the top.
  9. Bake at 300 degrees for 1 hour Or possibly till lightly browned.
