Cherry Pretzel Torte Recipe

• 1 c. butter
• 3/4 c. sugar
• 2 c. pretzels, crushed coarsely
• 1 (8 ounce.) pkg. cream cheese
• 1/2 c. powdered sugar
• 1 (8 ounce.) container frzn whipped topping
• 1 (21 ounce.) can cherry pie filling

1. Heat butter, add in sugar and blend.
2. Add in pretzels and stir lightly.
3. Reserve 3/4 c. of pretzel mix for topping, press remainder into ungreased 9"x13" pan.
4. Blend softened cream cheese and powdered sugar together, mix in whipped topping.
5. Spread 1/2 mix over pretzel crust.
6. Carefully spread on cherry filling.
7. Then spread remaining cheese mix over cherries.
8. Top with reserved pretzel mix.
9. Chill 2 to 3 hrs.
