Blackberry Sorbet Recipe

  1. Puree the blackberries with 1/4 c. of the sugar syrup in a food processor till smooth.
  2. If you like, this mix can be strained into a bowl to remove the seeds, but it is not necessary.
  3. Stir in the remaining sugar syrup, then transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
  4. This recipe yields 1 qt to serve 8.
  5. Comments: I recommend which you strain the blackberry mix, because the little seeds will only get caught in your teeth.
