Blackberry Sorbet Recipe
- 2 pt fresh blackberries (or possibly 24 ounce frzn unsweetened blackberries, thawed)
- 1 1/4 c. Simple Sugar Syrup (see recipe)
- Puree the blackberries with 1/4 c. of the sugar syrup in a food processor till smooth.
- If you like, this mix can be strained into a bowl to remove the seeds, but it is not necessary.
- Stir in the remaining sugar syrup, then transfer to an ice cream maker and freeze according to the manufacturer's instructions.
- This recipe yields 1 qt to serve 8.
- Comments: I recommend which you strain the blackberry mix, because the little seeds will only get caught in your teeth.
