Baked Apple Rings

  1. Preheat oven to 200 C.
  2. Slice apples into 1/2 inch rings and place in a shallow greased baking dish.
  3. In a saucepan, combine and heat remaining ingredients, stirring well.
  4. Pour over apples and bake for 15 minutes or until tender, turning to baste once or twice.
  5. The apples should turn a lovely golden brown.
  6. Option: Fill the centre with raisins or sultanas and pistachios and serve with piping hot custard.
