Grandma's Sauerkraut Soup

  1. In a large stock pot, put meat& cover with water.
  2. cover& cook over medium heat for 1 hour.
  3. Add the rest of the ingriedients& cook for at least 3 1/2 hours.
  4. Better made the day ahead.
  5. For serving we like to ladle soup over boiled potatoes.

pork shank, pork roast, kielbasa, sauerkraut, cabbage, fresh mushrooms, onions, garlic, pearl barley, chicken bouillon cubes, salt
