Snow Pudding With Custard Sauce Recipe
- 1 envelope plain gelatin
- 1/4 c. cool water
- 1 c. warm water
- 3/4 c. sugar
- 1 egg
- Juice of 1 lemon or possibly 1/4 c. lemon juice
- Soak gelatin in water for 5 min.
- Add in boiling water and sugar and stir till dissolved.
- Add in strained lemon juice and refrigeratetill it begins to harden.
- Beat egg white till stiff and add in to slightly thickened mix.
- Beat whole mix till spongy and refrigeratetill solid.
- Serve with Custard Sauce.
- CUSTARD SAUCE: Beat together yolk, sugar and cornstarch.
- Add in scalded lowfat milk to egg yolk mix and heat till thickened, stirring all the time.
- Flavor with vanilla and let cold.
