Grilled Mushroom Swiss Burgers

  1. Drain 1 of the canned mushrooms (reserving the juice).
  2. Chop as fine as possible.
  3. Mix all remaining ingredients for the hamburger patties except the hamburger.
  4. When it is mixed well then add in the hamburger.
  5. Mix very well and then make 4 patties and place a dimple in the middle of a patty.
  6. Refrigerate 4 to 24 hours.
  7. To make the Mushroom Topping drain the mushroom water from the can.
  8. Cook the mushrooms and the minced garlic for about 30 seconds.
  9. Blend in the brown gravy mix with the mushroom water (and the reserved mushroom water from the first can).
  10. Add to the mushrooms and garlic and cook until thick.
  11. Set aside and allow to cool.
  12. Set up your grill for Direct Heat.
  13. Cook the burgers on the grill until the juices begin to collect on the top.
  14. Flipped the burgers over and continue cooking until they're cooked thoroughly.
  15. After thoroughly cooked top with a slice of Swiss cheese and add the Mushroom Topping.
  16. When the cheese is fully melted removed from the grill in a while to cool for 5 minutes before serving.
  17. Quickly toast the burger buns on the grill.
  18. Serve with your favorite toppings and condiments.
