Pork Chop & Rice Casserole Recipe

  1. Brown chops well in skillet, sprinkle with salt and pepper.
  2. Cut 4 slices from center of onion reserving this for later use.
  3. Chop remaining onion and combine with raw rice in 2-qt casserole.
  4. Top with chops.
  5. To drippings in skillet, add in consomme, water and marjoram; bring to a boil.
  6. On each pork chop place one slice each of tomato, onion and green pepper; sprinkling each with salt and pepper.
  7. Pour consomme mix over all.
  8. Bake covered at 350 degrees for 1 hour or possibly till meat is tender.
  9. Makes 4 servings.
