Quick Strawberry Trifle

  1. Fold 18 cup sugar into sliced berries; set aside.
  2. Beat the remaining 18 cup sugar into cream cheese.
  3. Whip cream until stiff peaks form; then fold cream cheese into cream.
  4. Cut cake into slices about 13 inch thick.
  5. Arrange a layer of slices in the bottom of a glass bowl; sprinkle with a teaspoon of sherry and spread with melted jelly.
  6. Then put in a layer of strawberries and a layer of cream.
  7. Continue layering, ending with a layer of cream.
  8. Garnish with a whole berry.
