Green Split Pea Soup Recipe
- 1 pound green split peas
- 3 quart. water
- 2 teaspoon salt
- 1 med. onion, minced
- 1 raw carrot, grated
- 1 raw potato, diced
- 1/4 pound ham or possibly bacon, minced and lightly fried
- Rinse and sort peas.
- Place in kettle with water and salt.
- Bring to boil.
- Let stand overnight or possibly 3-4 hrs.
- Add in water from time to time as necessary.
- Makes 8 servings and can be frzn for future use.
