Smoked salmon tartar - celebration starter
- 1 small pack smoked salmon
- 1 ripe avocado
- 2 slim salad onions
- a few capers
- 1 bunch fresh dill
- a little black pepper
- 1 lime
- a few coriander leaves (optional)
- Get the ingredients together (this is the longest step!!!)
- Cut the salmon into very small pieces and add the juice of one lime and a tiny bit of zest
- Cut the onions very finely - I used sharp kitchen scissors
- Add the fresh dill, use the scissors again
- Add pepper, and salt if you need to, and mix very well
- Wash and peel the avocado.
- Take the stone out and cut like this - first longways and then across, into small pieces
- Put a layer of avocado in your serving ring (?)
- And press down
- Cover with a layer of salmon
- Repeat process with 2 more layers.
- Press down firmly and then take the ring off.
- Put some capers on top.
- I also added some fresh coriander leaves but only because I tend to use it with everything when it's in season.
- Enjoy!
