Sausage Gravy and Biscuits
- 1 pound Bulk Pork Sausage (sage Flavored Can Be Used, If You Prefer)
- 2 Tablespoons Finely Chopped Onion
- 6 Tablespoons All-purpose Flour
- 1 quart (4 Cups) Milk (2% Or Whole Is Best)
- 1/2 teaspoons Poultry Seasoning
- 1/4 teaspoons Ground Nutmeg
- 1/4 teaspoons Salt
- 1 dash Worcestershire Sauce
- 2 dashes Hot Pepper Sauce
- 1 whole Batch Of Hot Biscuits (from A Can Or Your Favorite Homemade)
- Crumble sausage into a large saucepan; cook over medium-low heat until it starts to brown.
- Add onion; cook and stir until tender.
- Drain, discarding all but 2 Tablespoons of drippings and put the sausage mixture back into your saucepan.
- Stir in flour; cook over medium-low heat about 4 6 minutes, or until mixture bubbles and turns golden.
- Stir in milk.
- Add seasonings; cook, stirring, until thickened.
- To serve, slice biscuits and spoon gravy over halves.
