Caramel Fudge Cake Recipe
- 1 pkt chocolate cake mix (18.25 ounce.)
- 1 pkt caramels (14-oz)
- 1/2 c. butter
- 1 can sweetened condensed lowfat milk (14-oz)
- 1 c. minced pecans
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Prepare cake mix as package directs.
- Pour 2 c. of the batter into a greased 13x9-inch baking pan.
- Bake 15 min.
- Meanwhile, in heavy saucepan over low heat, heat caramels and butter.
- Remove from heat, add in condensed lowfat milk and mix well.
- Spread caramel mix proportionately over cake.
- Spread remaining cake batter over caramel mix.
- Top with nuts.
- Return to oven and bake 30-35 min, or possibly till tooth-pick comes out clean.
- Cold.
- Garnish as desired.
