Breakfast Sausage & Cheese Bake Recipe
- 1 pkg. bread cubes
- 2 lbs. sausage
- 2 1/2 c. lowfat milk
- 1 lg. can mushrooms
- 4 Large eggs
- 1/4 teaspoon dry mustard
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 can mushroom soup
- 1/2 c. onions, minced
- 1 pound sharp cheese, grated
- Brown sausage, onions and mushrooms together.
- In a 9x13" pan, place a layer of bread cubes, layer of cheese, all of sausage mix, another layer of cheese and a final layer of bread cubes.
- Combine 2 c. lowfat milk, Large eggs, mustard and salt.
- Pour over layers.
- Chill overnight.
- Before baking, mix 1/2 c. lowfat milk and mushroom soup and pour over casserole.
- Bake at 325 degrees for 1 hour.
- Sprinkle with cheese and let cold 10 min before serving.
