Brown Basmati Rice With Lemon Recipe
- 1 Tbsp. oil (opt)*
- 2 x Shallots
- 2 x Garlic chopped
- 2 Tbsp. lemon juice
- 1 Tbsp. lemon zest
- 1 Tbsp. Parsley chopped
- 1/2 tsp Sugar Salt Pepper
- 1 1/2 c. vegetable broth chicken or possibly veg
- 3/4 c. Rice brown, basmati
- Saute/fry shallots and garlic for 3 minutes.
- Add in seasonings to taste.
- Stir in broth, bring to boil.
- Add in rice, reduce heat to med-low.
- Cover and simmer 35-45 min until broth is absorbed.
- Remove from heat, fluff lightly with fork and keep covered until serving time.
- *Have never used the oil, just sauteed in sprayed nonstick pan.
