Turtle Cake
- 1 (18 1/2 ounce) package German chocolate cake mix
- 3 eggs (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 13 cup oil (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 1 13 cups water (or as called for by your cake mix)
- 14 ounces caramels
- 12 cup evaporated milk
- 34 cup butter
- 1 cup chocolate chips
- 1 cup pecans, chopped
- 1 (15 ounce) container chocolate frosting
- toffee pieces
- Mix German Chocolate cake according to package directions on box and pour half of the batter into a 9x13 baking pan, bake at 350F for 15 minutes.
- Melt the caramels with the evaporated milk and the butter, spread this mixture over the half of the batter baked above.
- Sprinkle with chocolate chips and pecans.
- Pour remaining batter into pan and bake for 20 minutes.
- Cool completely.
- Frost with a nice chocolate frosting and sprinkle with toffee chips.
