Broiled Todok (Todok Kui) Recipe
- 15 x todok roots (white roots)
- 2 Tbsp. red pepper paste
- 1/2 Tbsp. red pepper pwdr
- 2 Tbsp. soy sauce
- 1 Tbsp. minced garlic
- 2 Tbsp. minced green onion
- 1 Tbsp. sugar
- 1 Tbsp. sesame salt
- 2 Tbsp. sesame oil Salt to taste
- After soaking and peeling the todok (Codonopsis Lanceolata), remove the bitterness by soaking the them in salted water; then pat them dry.
- Slice the todok thinly and lb.
- it flat with a mallet.
- Mix the red pepper paste with the soy sauce, green onion, garlic, sesame salt and sesame oil.
- Simmer the mix till thickened.
- Broil the todok on a grill and baste it with the seasoned red pepper paste.
