Chocolate-Almond Fantasy Cake
- 1-1/2 pkg. (4 oz. each) BAKER'S Bittersweet Chocolate (6 oz.)
- 3/4 cup butter
- 4 eggs
- 1 cup sugar
- 1/4 tsp. almond extract
- 1/2 cup flour
- 1/4 cup PLANTERS Slivered Almonds, toasted, chopped
- Heat oven to 350F.
- Microwave chocolate and butter in large microwaveable bowl on HIGH 2 min.
- or until butter is melted.
- Stir until chocolate is completely melted and mixture is well blended; cool.
- Beat eggs and sugar in large bowl with mixer until blended.
- Add almond extract and chocolate mixture; mix well.
- Gradually beat in flour.
- Stir in nuts.
- Pour into greased and floured 9-inch round pan.
- Bake 30 min.
- or until center is set.
- Cool in pan 5 min.
- Remove to wire rack; cool completely.
