Black Bean Burgers

  1. Begin by smashing black beans into a rough paste.
  2. Add remaining ingredients (except avocado and mozzarella) and mix until thoroughly combined.
  3. You may want to add a bit more bread crumbs depending on how wet the mixture turns out.
  4. Form into patties.
  5. Heat oil or cooking spray in a pan over medium heat.
  6. Cook patties until warmed through, about 3 minutes per side depending on thickness.
  7. Top patties with cheese and broil until melted.
  8. Add sliced avocado.
  9. Enjoy!
