Upside-Down Apple Tart

  1. Heat oven to 400F.
  2. Melt butter in 10-inch ovenproof nonstick skillet on medium-low heat.
  3. Remove from heat.
  4. Add dry gelatin mix, cornstarch and cinnamon; stir 2 min.
  5. until gelatin is completely dissolved.
  6. Arrange single layer of apples, cut sides down, in skillet.
  7. Top with any remaining apples.
  8. Cook on medium-low heat 8 min.
  9. ; top with pie crust.
  10. Cut several slits in crust with sharp knife.
  11. Place in oven.
  12. Bake 20 min.
  13. or until crust is golden brown and apples are tender.
  14. Cool 3 min.
  15. Using oven mitts, place large serving plate on top of skillet.
  16. Carefully turn skillet over onto plate.
  17. Remove skillet.
  18. Slice tart while still warm.
  19. Serve topped with COOL WHIP.
