BBQ Sausage with Fennel Jam and Pickled Pears
- 1/2 tablespoon olive oil
- 4 each sausage
- 4 each hot dog buns split
- 1/2 cup goat (chevre) cheese crumbled
- 1 x Spiced Pickled Pears, prepared (click to view recipe)
- 1 x Fennel Jam, prepared (click to view recipe)
- Heat oil in a large nonstick skillet over medium-high heat until hot.
- Add the sausages, turning often, and cook for about 10 minutes, or until the sausages are browned and completely cooked through.
- Spread each sandwich roll with about 2 tablespoons fennel jam, place the sausage over jam.
- Sprinkle 2 tablespoons goat cheese over each sausage, and top with more fennel jam.
- Serve with the pickled pears aside.
