Holiday Apple Sausage Patties
- 1 lb sage sausage (pref. Jimmy Dean)
- 1 egg, lightly beaten
- 12 cup chopped apple (granny smith, for the tartness preferred)
- 14 cup half-and-half cream
- 34 cup crushed cheese crackers (used aged white cheddar)
- 18 cup shredded canned sauerkraut
- 1 teaspoon chopped fresh sage
- Combine all ingredients & mix thoroughly.
- Separate meat into patties about 6 (8 if you prefer smaller portions).
- Fry in skillet on medium heat until done.
- Remove from skillet and place on a paper towel lined plate to drain excess fat/grease.
- These are great with Holiday morning breakfasts especially in the fall & winter months.
