Burgundy Beef
- 3 slices bacon
- 14 cup flour
- salt and pepper, to taste
- 12 teaspoon seasoning salt
- 14 teaspoon marjoram
- 14 teaspoon thyme
- 2 lbs stewing beef
- 2 garlic cloves, chopped
- 12 cup water
- 1 teaspoon beef bouillon powder
- 1 cup red wine
- 1 cup fresh mushrooms, sliced
- Cook bacon.
- Roll meat in flour, salt, pepper, seasoning salt, marjoram and thyme, and brown in oil.
- Add and water and cook until water is evaporated.
- Add the garlic, bouillon, wine and mushrooms and simmer for 2 - 3 hours.
