Lavender-Thyme Syrup Recipe
- 2 cups granulated sugar
- 1 cup water
- 8 sprigs fresh thyme
- 2 teaspoons dried lavender
- Combine all the ingredients in a small saucepan and stir to mix.
- Bring to a boil over medium-high heat.
- Once the mixture boils, reduce the heat to medium and simmer until the mixture is slightly thickened, about 5 minutes.
- Remove from the heat and let steep 15 to 20 minutes.
- Strain the syrup to remove the herbs, and transfer to a container with a tight-fitting lid.
- Cover and refrigerate the syrup until ready to use.
