Not so Sweet! Homemade Marshmallows
- 1 Egg white
- 40 grams Sugar or artificial sweetener
- 10 grams Powdered gelatin
- 50 ml Water
- 1 Your favorite powdered ingredients for dusting the marshmallows (See Hints)
- Put the gelatin and water marked in a mug or container to soften the gelatin.
- Whip the egg white and sugar to make a hard meringue.
- Microwave the mug at 900W for about 30-40 seconds until the gelatin dissolves completely.
- Add to the meringue and whip well.
- Pour into a container and let it cool down to harden.
- Then it's done!
- You can take the marshmallow out easily.
- Flip the container over, and cut the marshmallow into small squares.
- Dust with your favorite powder and serve.
- I poured the mixture at Step 2 into heart shaped silicone molds, and froze them.
- You can freeze them just like in.
- This is another variation.
- I dropped the mixture from a spoon and topped with walnut, my favorite.
- Let them cool down until they set!
- I piped the mixture like fresh cream, then let them cool to set.
