Quickie Pizza
- 375 ml flour
- 5 ml quick rise yeast
- 7 ml baking powder
- 3 ml sugar
- 1 pinch salt
- 50 ml oil
- 200 ml warm water
- 50 ml tamato sauce
- 1 pinch garlic powder
- 1 pinch oregano
- 1 pinch pepper
- 125 ml mozzarella cheese, grated
- Preheat oven to 425F
- In a large bowl, mix flour, yeast,baking powder,sugar, and salt.
- Stir together with a fork.
- Add oil and warm water, mix well.
- Turn dough out onto a floured surface.
- Scrape bowl with a rubber spatula.
- Knead dough 20 to 30 times, or until smooth and elastic.
- Do not overwork dough
- Prepare pan; leave as is for non stick pans, grease lightly with oil or sprinkle with 2ml cornmeal.
- Stretch the dough onto the pizza pan with your hands.
- You may use a rolling pin to shape the dough.
- Bake in the oven until golden brown, about 10 to 15 mins.
- Remove from the oven and top with pizza sauce, cheese and toppings of your choice.(ex.
- Meat slices, mushrooms, peppers, etc.)
- Return to the oven for another 5 to 10 minutes or until cheese is melted.
