Hanpen Wrapped in Sliced Pork Belly

  1. Cut the hanpen into 4 equal strips.
  2. Cut the pork belly slices in half.
  3. Spread and align one of the halves and season it with salt and pepper.
  4. Place the hanpen at the end of the pork and roll up.
  5. Make two rolls (the photo is with enoki mushrooms).
  6. Heat oil in a skillet, place the pork belly rolls seam side down, cover with a lid and pan-fry both sides over low to medium heat.
  7. Once both sides are browned, pour in all the flavoring ingredients to coat the rolls and it's done.
  8. I added leftover hanpen and spinach.
  9. Arrange it on a plate and it is ready to serve.
