Shaggy Man Split Pea Soup

  1. Melt butter in Dutch oven.
  2. Add bacon and saute until tender.
  3. Add onions, celery, carrots and pork sausage.
  4. Combine together and start with 2 quarts of chicken stock.
  5. Add more later if necessary.
  6. Add salt, pepper and house seasoning.
  7. Add peas and cook on low temperature simmering for about 2 hours.
  8. Mix ingredients together and store in an airtight container for up to 6 months.
