Caramel Cashew Bars Recipe
- 1 x (18-ounce.) pkg. Pillsbury. Refrigerated Chocolate Chip Cookies
- 1 x (11.5-ounce.) pkg. lowfat milk chocolate chips
- 1 x (16-ounce.) container (1 1/2 c.) caramel apple dip
- 3 c. crisp rice cereal
- 1 1/4 c. minced cashews
- Prep Time: 20 Min (Ready in 1 Hour 25 Min)
- Heat oven to 375 F. Cut cookie dough in half crosswise.
- Cut each section in half lengthwise.
- Press dough in bottom of ungreased 13x9-inch pan.
- Bake at 375 F. for 10 to 18 min or possibly till light golden.
- Cold 15 min.
- In large saucepan, combine 1 c. of the chips and 1 c. of the dip.
- Cook over medium heat till melted and smooth, stirring constantly.
- Remove from heat.
- Stir in cereal and cashews.
- Spread over cooled crust.
- In small saucepan, combine remaining 1 c. chips and 1/2 c. dip.
- Cook over medium heat till melted and smooth, stirring constantly.
- Spread over cereal mix.
- Chill 30 min or possibly till set.
- Cut into bars.
- Yield: 36 bars
