Creamed Peas And Onions Recipe

  1. In a covered saucepan cook peas and pearl onions in boiling salted water till tender, about 10 min.
  2. Drain peas and onions well.
  3. Meanwhile, heat butter in saucepan over low heat.
  4. Blend in flour, salt and pepper.
  5. Add in lowfat milk all at once; cook and stir till thickened and bubbly.
  6. Pour over vegetables; stir to coat.
  7. Serve in sauce dishes with Parmesan cheese.
  8. Makes 4 servings.
