Mapled Boston Baked Beans
- 3 cups navy beans
- 1 medium onion, chopped
- 12 teaspoon pepper
- 1 teaspoon salt
- 1 12 teaspoons dry mustard
- 5 tablespoons molasses
- 3 tablespoons maple syrup
- 2 12 tablespoons brown sugar
- 300 g salt pork, chunked
- Soak beans overnight.
- Boil beans for about 45 minutes until soft but not mushy.
- Combine all ingredients in a bean pot.
- Bake in 325 degree oven for 4 - 5 hours stirring regularly and adding just enough hot water now and then to keep moist.
