Triple Layer Brownies Recipe
- 1 (12 ounce.) pkg. semi-sweet chocolate chips
- 1 (6 ounce.) pkg. butterscotch chips
- 2 c. unsifted flour
- 1 1/2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 1 c. butter, softened
- 1 c. firmly packed brown sugar
- 2 teaspoon vanilla
- 3 Large eggs
- 1 c. minced nuts (pecans or possibly walnuts)
- Preheat oven to 350 degrees.
- Heat 1 c. of chocolate chips; set aside.
- Heat butterscotch chips; set aside.
- In another bowl, combine flour, baking pwdr, and salt; set aside.
- In a large bowl, combine butter, brown sugar, and vanilla.
- Beat till creamy.
- Add in Large eggs, one at a time, beating well with each addition.
- Blend in flour mix.
- Stir in nuts.
- Divide batter in half.
- Blend melted chocolate chips into first half.
- Spread in well greased 13 x 9 x 2 inch baking pan.
- Blend butterscotch chips in second half of batter.
- Spread proportionately over chocolate layer.
- Bake at 350 degrees for 35 min.
- Remove from oven.
- Sprinkle remaining 1 c. chocolate chips proportionately over top of brownies.
- Let morsels set about 5 min till soft; spread proportionately on top of brownies.
