Mother's Japanese Fruit Cake Recipe
- 1 c. butter Crisco
- 2 c. sugar
- 1 c. lowfat milk
- 3 1/3 c. flour
- 4 Large eggs
- 1/2 pound raisins
- 1/4 pound candied pineapple
- 1/2 teaspoon salt
- 2 teaspoon baking pwdr
- 1 teaspoon vanilla
- 1 teaspoon cinnamon
- 1/2 teaspoon allspice
- 1/2 teaspoon cloves
- 1/2 pound English walnuts
- 1/4 pound cherries (candied)
- Cream butter and sugar.
- Beat in whole Large eggs, add in lowfat milk and vanilla to dry ingredients.
- Mix well.
- Add in fruits and nuts (rolled in small amount of flour).
- Bake at 325 to 350 degrees.
