Creamy Shrimp and Mushroom Alfredo Pasta

  1. Begin by putting a pot of water on to boil for the pasta.
  2. Once the water boils, adds pasta and cook until al dente (or however you like your pasta) according to package instructions.
  3. Then drain it in a collander and return it to the pot.
  4. While your pasta is cooking, place the butter, shrimp, mushrooms, white wine, salt, pepper and garlic powder into a large skillet over medium-high heat.
  5. The skillet will need to be big enough to hold 3 cups of heavy whipping cream along with all of your other goodies.
  6. Cook this over medium-high heat until the butter and white wine have reduced down and thickened up.
  7. Now, add in your 3 cups of heavy whipping cream.
  8. Bring the heavy whipping cream to a boil and then add in the 6 ounces of finely grated parmesan.
  9. Reduce heat to medium and let the mixture cook for about one minute longer, to allow the cheese to melt and the sauce to thicken.
  10. Now, you can either serve the noodles and sauce separately or combine them in the pot that you cooked the pasta in and serve that way.
  11. * You can also substitute bacon and chicken for the shrimp and mushrooms.
  12. The possibilities are endless.
  13. Play with it and find a combination you love!
  14. ** Dont let the butter and cream scare you away!
  15. This recipe is so delicious!
  16. You will completely forget about all the calories you are eating!
