High Octane Martini
- 1/4 oz dry vermouth
- 3 oz pepper vodka
- 1 or 2 jalapeno stuffed olives
- Place about 6 small ice cubes in a metal shaker.
- Pour in the vodka and vermouth and shake for at least 30 seconds.
- The longer you shake, the more water will mix into the drink, as the ice cubes melt.
- Shaking for less than 30 seconds will produce a drink that is too powerful, with the alcohol overpowering the taste of the pepper.
- Strain into a 4 ounce cocktail glass and drop in 1 or 2 jalapeno stuffed olives.
- Any olive brine still dripping from the olive(s) will add to the taste complexity of the drink.
- *If you don't have pepper vodka, such as Absolut Peppar, you can substitute regular vodka and add a couple of dashes of Tabasco sauce.
