Health Bread
- 2 pkg. yeast
- 1 c. warm water
- 2 c. scalded milk
- 1/2 c. margarine
- 1 Tbsp. molasses
- 2 tsp. salt
- 1/2 c. honey
- 1/2 c. brown sugar
- 2 eggs
- 1/2 c. wheat germ
- 1/2 c. soybean flour
- 2 oz. dry onion mix
- 5 c. whole wheat flour
- Dissolve yeast in warm water.
- Add milk, margarine, molasses, salt, honey, brown sugar and eggs slightly beaten.
- Blend well. Add wheat germ, soybean flour and dry onion mix.
- Add 2 cups flour and beat.
- Then add remaining flour to make a soft dough.
- Turn out on lightly floured board and knead until elastic, about 8 to 10 minutes.
- Place in greased bowl, turning to grease top.
- Cover, let rise in warm place (80 to 85u0b0) until double in bulk, about 1 hour. Punch down, divide in 3 parts, shape in loaves.
- Place in pans. Cover and let raise until double in bulk, about 1 hour.
- Bake at 400u0b0 for 25 to 30 minutes until done.
- Cool on wire racks.
