Giant Holiday Trees

  1. Line cookie sheet with aluminum foil; set aside.
  2. Combine 3/4 cup butter, brown sugar, molasses and egg in bowl.
  3. Beat at medium speed, scraping bowl often, until creamy.
  4. Add all remaining gingerbread ingredients; beat at low speed until well mixed.
  5. Cover; refrigerate 1-2 hours or until firm.
  6. Heat oven to 350F.
  7. Divide dough in half.
  8. Pat each half of dough onto prepared cookie sheet to 12x9-inch tree shape with 3x2-inch base.
  9. Smooth edges of dough with knife.
  10. Bake 12-15 minutes or until no indentation remains when touched.
  11. Cool completely.
  12. Combine powdered sugar, 1/3 cup butter and vanilla in bowl.
  13. Beat at low speed, gradually adding enough milk, for desired spreading consistency.
  14. Stir in food color.
  15. Frost cooled trees; decorate as desired..
