Best Meat Loaf Recipe

  1. Set oven for moderate, 350 degrees.
  2. Combine first 6 ingredients.
  3. Let stand 5 min.
  4. Add in onion and meat; mix well.
  5. Line a loaf pan, 8 x 5 x 3 inches, with bacon across the width of pan.
  6. Pack meat mix into pan.
  7. Bake 1 1/2 hrs.
  8. Remove from oven.
  9. Invert meat loaf on baking sheet; lift off pan; raise oven temperature to very warm, 450 degrees.
  10. Return meat loaf to oven for about 10 min to crisp bacon.
  11. Makes 6 to 8 servings.
